Kosovo - Additional Information "There was 50-100% overcast cover 72% of the time , and just 21 of 78 days had great general climate . On the whole, 3,766 Sorties were prematurely ended because of climate." 1 "totally unchallenged ashore, Yugoslav powers could scatter and stow away … When uncovered, gradualness in the sensor-controller-shooter arrangement regularly gave them enough time to move [and hide] before the assaults started." 1 "A year ago NATO asserted that it had annihilated 120 tanks, 220 protected work force bearers and 450 gunnery pieces in 744 "affirmed" air strikes. In Washington, Secretary of Defense William Cohen said these assaults had "seriously injured [Serbian] military powers in Kosovo devastating more than 50 percent of [their] mounted guns and 33% of the defensively covered vehicles." The truth, as indicated by the Air Force report , is that NATO Destroyed 14 tanks, 18 heavily clad staff transporters and 20 big guns pieces – pretty much what the Serbian government said at the time which was rejected by NATO as Serbian "disinformation"… 2 " Precision guided is no longer adequate. We encounter more noteworthy than half overcast cover over 70% of the time… and it wasn't the most noticeably bad piece of the year.
